Trinity Youth Group -World Hunger

On Palm Sunday 1208 crosses will appear in front of Trinity Episcopal Church. Theses crosses represent the 1208 children who die of hunger every hour. The Trinity Youth Group, Trinity Church community and Grace Church Newington Youth Group have been working for weeks to assemble the crosses out of paint sticks, donated by Home Depot, and now they are collecting funds to help fight hunger around the world. For every dollar donated the youth group will remove a cross. One dollar helps feed one child for one day. The Trinity Youth Group hopes they will have enough funds to remove all the crosses by Easter day April 4th. So far we have raised over $200. Please help us get to $1,208 by donating today. You may contribute funds in cans at local businesses along Main Street, at Church during coffee hour or via the web by clicking on the following link: http://www.30hourfamine.org/portal/onlinegiving/donate/102420355-001

Questions and inquiries may be directed to Jane Jeuland Director of Children’s Ministries. All proceeds go to World Vision. You may also help us by praying for our youth group. In addition to creating crosses to raise awareness and raise funds, the Trinity Youth Group will be fasting for 30 hours from 12noon on Good Friday to 6pm on Holy Saturday.
