Trinity welcomes Jane Jeuland as our new Director of Children's and Youth Ministries
October 2009

With great pleasure and wonder at God’s providence, I introduced to our congregation last Sunday Jane Jeuland, our new Director of Children’s and Youth Ministries. Jane is a wonderfully qualified and down-right exuberant addition to our staff. She is well experienced in coordinating volunteers, so our Godly Play program for younger children will only grow stronger as she works to support our faithful and skilled volunteer teachers. The particular new gift Jane brings to our parish is her experience with and enthusiasm for working with teenagers and youth. In the weeks to come as Jane begins her work with our Church School staff, she will also be contacting our teens and their families about developing opportunities for our youth at Trinity. Please give her a warm welcome and join in as we startthis new emphasis at Trinity. - Father Scott

Biographical Information:

For the past three years, Jane has helped co-found Your Place: Youth Center, an after-school program at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in New Haven. In addition to designing the program structure and activities, Jane  is responsible for fundraising, training and recruiting volunteers and college/teen work-study students, as well as design the program structure and activities. The program includes tutoring, leadership training, mentoring, free-time activities, dinner, and groups such as fundraising, dance, PeaceJam, and cooking. Currently Jane is working part-time at Your Place as Director of Development and teen staff supervisor.

God-willing, Jane will be ordained as a transitional deacon in June 2010 and priest in January 2011. Currently she and her husband,  Eric,  make their home in a beautiful apartment at the Ronald McDonald House where they serve as the Night Managers.

Jane has said, “certainly children are our future, but they are also our present.” She believes strongly that youth have the power, creativity, and energy to do great things now for our world, our community, and our church. She looks forward to developing a youth ministry based on the ideas and energy that our youth bring.
